Motorola Electrify Android smartphone striking down at U.S. Cellular

Motorola Electrify U.S. Cellular

Bringing the capital E to electrify, the Motorola Electrify Android smartphone is all set to thump down on U.S. Cellular counters. Users are being tempted with seamless multi-tasking courtesy of a sharp display, a camera, a webcam, a dedicated media kickstand and a stack of apps on the phone.

The handset is fitted with a 4.3” qHD touchscreen as well as an HDMI output port and full Mirror Mode for HDTV connectivity. Functionality and productivity should get a leg up with Motorola’s webtop application which allows users to dock the handset in a compatible accessory and view entertainment or work away on a larger screen.

“The Electrify is more than a ‘smart’ phone,” expressed Edward Perez, VP of sales and marketing operations, U.S. Cellular. “Its multi-tasking capabilities make it the perfect personal assistant for customers who depend on their smartphone to meet the ever-changing needs of their busy lifestyles. Our commitment to providing a variety of devices that enhance customers’ lives is one of the reasons consumers who switch to U.S. Cellular join the happiest customers in wireless.”

Photography enthusiasts may fall for the 8MP camera on the back panel that’s complemented by dual LED flash and auto photo-enhancing software. What’s more, there’s a camera on the front for video chats too. Additionally, the 16GB of internal memory can be expanded by up to 48GB through the memory card slot.

The Motorola Electrify is ‘coming soon’ to U.S. Cellular customers in need of some Android goodness. It will be available for $199.99 after the $100 mail-in rebate and associated data plan boxes are checked.
