The Pantech Pursuit II messaging phone which is a Brew mobile platform-based device will be available for AT&T customers in the U.S. with a two-year agreement and a qualifying rate plan after a $50 USD mail-in rebate. Yes, inexpensive phones are set to have another member in their band and AT&T is calling this one a ‘simple yet feature-rich messaging device’.
The Pursuit II phone’s compact body fits in a 2.8″ touchscreen display, a full QWERTY vertical sliding keyboard as well as a 2MP camera with camcorder and 4X digital zoom. A full HTML browser, pre-loaded social media apps on the home screen as well as mobile email capabilities make this an internet-friendly device.

Other features of this messaging phone include a 250 hours battery standby time and the QSC 6270 ARM9/230MHz processor. The AT&T Navigator also makes its way in to the device.
The Pantech Pursuit II which will come dipped in pink and green colors can be bought from July 17, 2011 for a price of $49.99.
