The sphere of mobile devices fused with crowd-puller characteristics seems to be crammed with manufacturers expanding their horizons. Depicting an example, RIM recently announced the launch of its BlackBerry Bold 9780 smartphone in India.
Stamped with an iconic design, an easy-to-use keyboard and an incredibly responsive trackpad, the device is fashionably crafted with advanced communication and multimedia features. Powered by the new BlackBerry 6 operating system, the fetching Bold 9780 lends support to 3G networks around the world and incorporates Wi-Fi, GPS and geo-tagging.
“BlackBerry smartphones are very well received in India and we are pleased to be working with our partners to launch the new BlackBerry Bold 9780 in the Indian market,” stated Frenny Bawa, Managing Director, India, RIM. “We believe that customers will be extremely impressed with the enhanced user interface and exciting new features available with the BlackBerry 6 operating system.”
For photography admirers, the integration of a cool 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus, scene modes, image stabilization, flash and video recording is a perk. The device also includes 512MB flash memory and an expandable memory card slot that supports up to 32GB of additional storage.
The new BlackBerry Bold 9780 will be made available in India for Rs. 27,990 (excluding VAT).
