An announcement by LG reveals the introduction of its very first dual SIM smartphone dubbed as LG KS660. Though the phone does not overflow with high-end functions, it is packed appropriately keeping in mind business users who need multiple mobiles.
A tri-band handset, the LG KS660 offers support for GSM/GPRS/EDGE (900/1800/1900 MHz). The smartphone boasts of a 3 inch WQVGA touch screen display with feedback, 50 MB of built-in memory and a microSDHC memory card slot expandable up to 4GB.
With a 240×400 screen resolution, the phone also bundles in an integrated accelerometer, FM radio, Bluetooth 2.0, USB support and a 5 megapixel camera that has autofocus, flash as well video recording (720 x 840) capabilities. Accessorized by a stylus, the phone does not however support Wi-Fi or 3G connectivity.
While there are no details on the pricing and availability of the LG KS660, the dual SIM phone is expected to launch in China and Russia by the first quarter of 2009. There are no details on a North American or European release yet.
