Opera has released the beta preview of Opera Mini, the latest version of the mobile phone browser, which is expected to work on almost every mobile phone. Opera claims that Mini 4.1 is a more convenient and productive solution for users.
The latest Opera browser features speed improvements and is up to 50% faster than Opera Mini 4. It boasts the ‘Autocomplete your URLs’ feature that automatically suggests URL completions. Thus users save the time of typing a URL name everytime they want to visit a site.
In addition, the Opera browser 4.1 also has ‘Save pages’ function, through which users can save their web pages and read them later off line or even keep them for reference. Users can also find the word or phrase in the page. Hence, searching for the relevant content in the page has also become easier.
Besides, Opera Mini helps users to download images, ringtones and other content, or even add attachments to e-mail.
“There’s a reason Opera Mini has made such an impact around the world — our community,” said Jon von Tetzchner, CEO, Opera. “Your input and feedback have pushed us to make Opera Mini better with each version. I hope everyone enjoys these new features, but we ask for your candor and feedback as we get ready to make Opera Mini even more relevant to the millions of people who use us and the millions of people who discover Opera Mini every month.”
