HP iPAQ 600 Series Business Navigator and iPAQ 900 Series Business Messenger Smarphones Unveiled

HP iPAQ 900 and iPAQ 600 Smartphones

In addition, to the Blackbird Gaming PC, Hewlett Packard (HP) also launched two new smartphones, dubbed iPAQ 600 Series Business Navigator and iPAQ 900 Series Business Messenger.

The latest mobile devices incorporate 3G high-speed networks. While the iPAQ 600 includes navigation with 3-D maps along with the other essential mobile phone functions; the iPAQ 900 sports a QWERTY keyboard, while the 600 does not.

The other significant features in the HP iPAQ 600 and iPAQ 900 smartphones are:

  • Interfaces USB 2.0 client for sync/data/charge
  • 64-bit Micro SD card slot
  • Audio Integrated microphone, receiver, speaker and stereo headphone jack
  • 3 MP, autofocus, 4X digital zoom
  • Compatible with several image file formats, including GIF, JPEG, BMP, PNG; image resolutions: QCIF (176×144), CIF (352×288), QVGA (320×240), VGA (640×480), and SXGA (1280×1024). It also supports Video file format such as WMV; video resolution of 176×144 (QCIF)
  • The iPAQ 600 and iPAQ 900 are packed with HP’s exclusive application that comprises of HP iPAQ Data Connect; HP VoiceReply; HP Voice Commander; HP iPAQ Device Connect; MMS Composer, Bluetooth Manager, Certificate Enroller, HP Photosmart Mobile, iPAQ Wireless Manager, Pocket Panel Lite, HP Help and Support, HP QuickStart Tour, HP Enterprise Mobility Agent.

    What’s more, there’s also a numeric keypad with smart touch wheel, thumb wheel, 2 soft keys, volume control, send /end buttons, reset, voice command and portrait/landscape key.

    According to sources, the production of the HP iPAQ 600 and 900 is being outsourced to Taiwan-based Inventec Appliances instead of its previous contractor, High Tech Computer or Quanta Computer.
