“mPaper”, a new Media Delivery Platform launched by Pressmart and IMImobile; allows user to access Newspaper Content on mobile Phones

Pressmart and IMImobile Logos On January 31, Pressmart, a leading ePaper technology expert, together with IMImobile, an established end-to-end mobile VAS enabler announced the availability of “mPaper” in India, which is a new media delivery platform. mPapers enables technology savvy subscribers who wish to read news and access their favorite newspaper content on-the-go.

mPaper surely has opened up new opportunities for content publishers as well as news carriers, as with this new technology they will be able to offer daily newspapers on a mobile screen in the original format.

Nine major operators in India will offer the service which provides mPapers over WAP portals to their customers.

The mPaper technology is unique in the sense that it offers features like archives, search and saving news functions. Moreover, the mPaper will be available on a monthly subscription basis.

Immediately available as mPapers will be major Indian newspapers such as Hindustan Times, Deccan Chronicle, DNA, Indian Express, The asian Age, Financial express, the New Indian express, The Pioneer and The Telegraph.
