Microsoft has unveiled Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system for smarpthones, at CTIA 2008. The latest operating system features a new Internet Explorer Mobile that promises desktop-grade web browsing on Windows Mobile phones.
The Windows Mobile 6.1 boasts a quicker setup and user interface improvements. Also System Center Mobile Device Manager 2008 is added for providing better experience for IT professionals to manage mobile phones for businesses.
“People want a single phone that’s flexible enough to meet their needs throughout their day, whether it’s connecting to work or your everyday life,” said Robbie Bach, president of the Entertainment and Devices Division at Microsoft. “The innovations we’ve added to our Windows Mobile software ultimately make it easier to manage your world.”
With Windows Mobile 6.1, users will be able to accomplish the following:
Smartphones such as Asus P320, Asus ZX1, Asus P560, Asus M536, HTC Touch Dual, i-mate 8502, 9502, 8150 and 6150, Motorola Q 9c, Moto Q 9h, Moto MC70, Moto MC9000, Samsung BlackJack II and Pantech Duo will include the latest version of the Windows Mobile OS.
