Microsoft readies the ‘Ultimate Keyboard’ for Windows Vista

Microsoft's 'Ultimate Keyboard'Microsoft is developing the ‘Ultimate Keyboard,’ which incorporates a modern structure with enhanced features such as proximity sensing and a 30-foot range. In the ‘Ultimate Keyboard,’ which is to accompany the release of Windows Vista, Microsoft has placed the Windows keys below the space-bar and added a Media Center button.

Like Apple’s laptops, the Ultimate Keyboard detects the amount of light in the room and turns on back-lighting when required. What’s more…it can also detect when the user leaves the room. Both the keyboard and its partner mouse make use of Bluetooth for connecting to a PC.

Microsoft has not revealed any details on the release date or pricing for the new hardware.
