Microsoft’s new Lumia 650 has already been released in countries around the world, making its US and Canadian debut just a few days ago. The affordable handset has now surfaced on e-commerce site Amazon India, hinting that its official rollout in the country is happening soon.
To recall, the Microsoft Lumia 650 first came on the scene back in February at $199 (approx Rs 13500). While the black version of the phone is currently listed at Rs 16700 on Amazon India, the white model is slightly cheaper at Rs 16599. It’s also selling via other online retailers like eBay India at lower rates.
The Windows 10-running Microsoft phone is aimed at attracting business users. The brand has outfitted it with in-built security measures and apps like OneDrive and Office in this regard. However, the device doesn’t offer Continuum support. The much-touted tool allows handsets to function as portable mini computers, a useful tool for enterprise consumers.
As for specs, the Lumia 650 has a pretty standard set of features for a budget offering, though its India cost does seem steep when compared with other handsets within its market segment. Design-wise, the company calls the phone’s 5-inch HD AMOLED screen its most beautiful display ever at this price point and has further encased it in a diamond cut anodized aluminum frame.
