Microsoft Lumia 435 gets certified in Brazil confirming name

It’s more or less confirmed that Microsoft’s next budget smartphone will be the Lumia 435 and we have the Brazilian certification authority to thank for that. The device was previously seen at the FCC where we got a good look at its front panel, but there was no verification of its final moniker.

Just so you know, the Microsoft Lumia 435 was also being reported as the Lumia 335. Multiple versions of the phone are expected including a dual SIM version and another model which could carry the Lumia 430 branding. Not much is known about the new handset, but we can confirm that it will be a super affordable release with features akin to that of the Lumia 530.

WMPoweruser is reporting that the Brazilian certification authority, Anatel, has disclosed the phone’s model number as RM-1068 and also notes that it has dual SIM card slots. LTE connectivity will most likely be a miss mainly since the phone is reported to have a Snapdragon 200 chipset with a 1.2GHz quad core configuration.

Microsoft is also said to be working on a successor to the Lumia 1320 and it’s rumored to carry a 14MP PureView camera with a 5.7-inch HD display, 1GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. And if you’re anticipating a new flagship from the company, the Lumia 930 and Lumia 830 are the best options available as no new high-end release is expected until September.

Microsoft Lumia 435 known specifications:

– Windows Phone 8.1 w/ Lumia Denim
– 1.2GHz quad core Snapdragon 200 SOC
– 5MP rear camera (no front-facing snapper)
– 4-inch WVGA display
– 3G HSPA+, dual SIM

The Microsoft Lumia 435 and other aforementioned Windows Phone smartphones are expected to go official at the MWC 2015 in March.
