Micromax subsidiary Yu Televentures is doing quite well in the affordable smartphone segment, but the firm isn’t happy with just that. Recent developments as well as a tweet from the company’s founder Rahul Sharma have suggested that a high-end handset will indeed be released in India soon.
Yu has blessed the Indian market with extremely affordable yet powerful devices till now. The main aspect about these phones is also the fact that they exclusively run the Cyanogen OS out of the box.
Micromax-owned Yu’s CEO has tweeted now that a ‘Real Beast’ is on its way. If it wasn’t for a recent leak, we wouldn’t have known what he is referring to. A Geekbench listing had revealed a phone named Yu550 which comes with really high-end specs.
Among them is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset with its Adreno 430 GPU and its octa core 64-bit processor. The listing also mentioned that a whopping 4GB worth of RAM will be infused inside the device.
