4K TV sets are going cheaper by the month these days, but Micromax has just upped the ante by tagging its new offerings with considerably low price tags. What’s more, they have been infused with the Android OS which makes the most of their Ethernet port and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Micromax has said that its new range of Android-based 4K TVs will be sold via Flipkart in 42-inch and 49-inch options at Rs 39990 and Rs 49990, respectively. Both of them offer dual core CPUs, expandable storage and ports of USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and HDMI.
The 42-inch model of this Micromax TV range comes equipped with a 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution and a 178-degree viewing angle. It runs the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS, and offers noise reduction and the SRS sound system technology.
The more advanced 49-inch model kicks in the same 3840 x 2160 pixel resolution, and can let you view its visuals at a 178-degree angle. This TV however, runs the Android 4.4 KitKat OS, offering a more advanced software experience. It comes with 2 HDMI ports rather than one, while it sports a 0.78cm super slim golden metal bezel.
Both Vu and Toshiba have been selling Android-powered TVs in India since not too long ago. And with Micromax too having gotten into the game now, it seems the demand for such television sets has increased all of a sudden. Let’s see how these new offerings are able to tackle the competition now.
