Micromax does its first Intel-based device with Canvas Tab P666 for Rs 10999

The Canvas Tab P666 is a new tablet in the Indian market which has heralded a partnership between Micromax and Intel. This device uses the latter’s processor for its operations which, is a first for any product offered by the Indian company.

The Micromax Canvas Tab P666 has its price set at Rs 10999, and it’s indeed an Android slate which bears the 4.4 KitKat version of Google’s mobile OS. It comes equipped with an 8-inch IPS display which spews out its visuals in a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels.

This new Micromax tablet runs on a 1.2GHz dual core Intel Atom Z2520 processor with Hyper-Threading technology. Assisting it in its operations is a PowerVR SGX544 GPU and 1GB worth of RAM. There’s 8GB of storage present on the device as well, apart from a microSD card slot for further expansion.

3G data and voice calling are both supported by the Canvas Tab P666 via a SIM card slot, whereas compatibility for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth is also present of course. This new slate is kept going by a 4410mAh battery, and it features a dual camera setup consisting of a 5MP rear snapper and a 2MP front-facing unit.
