After launching the Canvas 4 Plus at a very attractive mid-range price, Micromax’s next offering appears to be an entry-level handset known as the Bolt A064 for the ultra affordable category. The upcoming device has popped up on the company’s website and it should go official early next week.
As we said, the Micromax Bolt A064 is at the bottom of the list where performance is concerned, but the OEM has put it quite a lot of work to make it an alluring device. There’s nothing out of the ordinary on the front panel, but the rear flaunts an appealing dimpled texture which fades out at the sides.
This makes the phone more attractive and it also looks good on both, black and white color options. Coming to the hardware, the front panel carries a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen and no camera, while the rear panel dons a 2MP fixed-focus snapper. Android 4.4.2 KitKat comes preloaded and is powered by a 1.3GHz dual core processor.
Memory provisions are basic as well, with 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage. A microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB is also onboard. The product page confirms that 3G connectivity has been excluded, but not dual SIM support. Also, the device should be capable of delivering up to 5 hours of talk time or around 150 hours of standby.
