The Micromax A71 entry-level smartphone has surfaced unofficially in India and it is already up for sale through an online retailer which has pegged it at a very affordable price of Rs 6,750. Nothing has been mentioned about the device by the company as yet, but we are expecting Micromax to launch it pretty soon. It is likely to be placed in the Bolt range that boasts of three new devices namely, Bolt A66, A28 and A59.
As we said, it is an entry-level device and is best suited to budget-conscious customers not interested in shelling out a huge amount on a phone. In spite of the low price, you get a huge touchscreen measuring 5 inches. The TFT capacitive display has a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels.
It goes without saying that the Micromax phone makes the most of the Android OS, Jelly Bean 4.1.2 to be precise and obviously offers access to the Play store and other Google mobile services. The phone depends on an ARM Cortex-A5 processor clocked in at 1GHz for its multitasking properties and brings 512MB of RAM as well. The other features include dual cameras, dual SIM card slots and a 2000mAh battery amongst other things.
