The MetroPCS Samsung Galaxy S3 release date and its off-contract price are finally out for prospective users unwilling to commit to a carrier for two years. The network provider in question is so far, the only carrier to offer this flagship smartphone without a contract. It will hit store shelves on October 22, that’s next Monday.
The Galaxy handset is compatible with 4G LTE network connectivity and will be made available with various data plans ranging from $30 to $70. It offers multitasking properties as well as lightning fast response times, thanks to the dual core processor that clocks in a speed of 1.5GHz and 2GB of RAM. On the front side of the device, there’s a 4.8-inch 720p HD Super AMOLED multi-touch display and a 1.9MP webcam to facilitate video conferencing on the move.
An 8MP primary snapper lays claim over the back panel and comes with a number of features like auto focus, LED flash and more. Its Burst Shot mode clicks multiple images with zero shutter lag, while Best Shot helps users choose the best image from a number of them, on the basis of clarity, colors and light. Share Shot permits easy sharing of photos with other Galaxy S3 handsets over Wi-Fi and AllShare Play comes in handy for streaming digital content on gadgets like TVs, speakers and more. It acts as a 4G LTE mobile hotspot for Wi-Fi-enabled devices, but with additional monthly charges.
The Galaxy S3 will be up for sale from October 22 for $499 before taxes with qualifying monthly plans.
