Xiaomi might soon be shivering in its pants

Xiaomi’s biggest competitor in China is about to make things hard for the company in India as well, as Meizu has announced that it will soon be headed to the country. And with the Redmi Note 4G being one of the most popular launches of the former, the latter will be bringing a phablet of its own, the M1 Note.

Now the incoming Chinese OEM hasn’t really announced what it will be launching to mark its entry into India. But the country-specific Facebook page which was created this month itself has a lot of posts about the Meizu M1 Note. This more or less confirms that the phablet will be the phone of choice. Also, we recently reported that the company was prepping the handset in question for global release through its online store.

Meizu M1 Note

The Meizu phone is quite a beefy one and it goes easy on the pocket. This combo works really well in emerging markets especially India. The handset has better hardware compared to what you’d find on the Redmi Note 4G as it features a 5.5-inch 1080p Gorilla Glass 3 display and a 64-bit octa core 1.7GHz MediaTek processor.

Where cameras are concerned, the front has a 5MP lens and the rear dons a 13MP shooter. The phone also has dual SIM card slots and supports 4G LTE connectivity. The battery used here is a pretty large one as well, rated at 3140mAh.

The Meizu Mi Note will probably go on sale through an e-commerce website next month and for a price of under Rs 10000.
