Meizu MX3 smartphone hits the market, comes with storage option of 128GB too

Meizu’s third generation high-end smartphone going by the name MX3, is up for grabs. Before it came the MX and MX2, for those who remember. Now the latest handset can be ordered through online store, JD.com.

But if you live outside China, don’t get too excited yet. The MX3 only works on carrier China Mobile’s network for now. It costs CN¥3,999 (or around $657) and is a TD-SCDMA model. That’s not to say Meizu won’t find it feasible to go about releasing a variant compatible with network connectivity bands in other regions across the globe in the future, of course.

The phone runs on Flyme 3.0, an OS based on Android 4.2. It sports a 5.1-inch 1080p touchscreen and houses an Exynos 5410 Octa chipset at its core. There’s 2GB of RAM onboard, apart from an 8MP main camera and 2MP front lens. One of the main specifications setting it apart from other phablets in the market is the fact that you can get it with up to 128GB of hoarding space.

Engadget reports that considering the lack of support for carriers outside China at present, the Vivo Xplay 3S which embraces TD-LTE and FD-LTE may be a better alternative. There are rumors about this smartphone arriving with 128GB memory capacity too. All in all, expect to pay more for it based on the speculated features we’ve been treated to in the past.
