The Meizu m2 is all set to be released in India on October 12, a few months after it was unveiled in China back in July. The manufacturer hasn’t revealed the price or availability details yet.
The 4G-ready Meizu m2 costs CNY 599 in its home country, which translates to approximately Rs 6200. It’s got a respectable set of specs at that value. The handset carries a 5-inch 720p screen with a pixel density of 296ppi, and is protected by AGC Dragontrail glass. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with a layer of the brand’s own Flyme OS 4.5 on top.
The m2 sports a 13MP main camera with a Samsung CMOS sensor, LED flash, an aperture of f/2.2 and Gorilla Glass 3 lens. Selfies can be taken through its 5MP front-facing snapper. It’s powered by a quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6735 processor, assisted by a Mali T720 GPU and 2GB of RAM.
Meizu has equipped the device with a 16GB Samsung eMMC 5.0 high-speed flash memory drive, which can be further expanded up to 128GB through a hybrid dual-SIM card slot. The handset’s 2500mAh battery is supposed to deliver 680 hours of standby time. Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0, GLONASS and A-GPS.
