There’s one more affordable smartphone on the block in the form of the new Meizu m2 which can be purchased in India at just Rs 6999. This device supports 4G networks via both its SIM card slots, and also offers a 13MP main camera at that price.
The Meizu m2 was officially unveiled in July, but only for sale in China. Its Indian release will take place via Snapdeal, where it will be sold through flash sales, the first of which will be held on October 12. That said, registrations for this particular sale have already commenced on the said e-commerce website.
The new m2 handset ships with a 5-inch display that bears an HD resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It runs the Flyme OS 4.5 which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. This phone’s main camera is a 13MP unit which is complemented by an f/2.2 aperture lens.
Meizu has even blessed it with a 5MP front snapper bearing an f/2.0 aperture for clicking selfies and conducting video calls. This device benefits from 16GB worth of inbuilt storage space, but it indeed comes with a microSD card slot that can be used for gaining 128GB of additional space. A 1.3GHz quad core MediaTek MT6735 processor can be found inside it, apart from 2GB of RAM.
