Maxx GenxDroid7 AX356 with just a promise of KitKat is no good for Rs 3696

The super affordable Android market in India is welcoming a new addition, the Maxx GenxDroid7 AX356 which offers 4.2.2 Jelly Bean through a 3.5-inch design for just Rs 3696. The smartphone has gone official and is exclusively available through Infibeam for the time being.

The Maxx GenxDroid7 AX356 features a generic type of design which can be seen on many phones already on the market including the recently launched Stellar Mi-445 from Spice. Despite its lackluster looks, the company is offering it in attractive shades of yellow which covers the entire body, black-red where the side panels are sprayed in the bright hue, and golden silver.

At 107.6 grams, the phone is pretty light and it’s capable of delivering decent performance through the 1GHz dual core MediaTek MT6572M processor. 512MB of RAM is also acceptable and there’s 4GB on internal storage along with a microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB. Visuals, however, will be of low-quality owing to the 480 x 320p resolution.

Furthering our disappointment, the onboard 1200mAh battery can deliver a measly 3.4 hours of talk time or up to 100 hours of standby. On the bright side, the phone is dual SIM enabled and also supports HSPA+ 3G connectivity. There are dual cameras as well, 3.2MP rear and 0.3MP front.

The Maxx GenxDroid7 AX356 makes a pretty decent first Android phone, but there are better options out there. If you do make it past the complex name and decide to grab the device for yourself, this link is where you should be headed.
