Nokia’s return to the world of devices has mostly concentrated on smartphones so far, with little word on what to expect in terms of new tablets. A new GFXBench listing is all set to change that with a long list of top-of-the-line specs.
Unfortunately, the Nokia slate in question doesn’t have a name attached to it yet. Its top attention-grabbing feature appears to be its gargantuan 18.4-inch 2560 x 1440p screen. Tablets typically don’t go that massive given how they’re usually portable in nature. Such a huge display will likely translate to a heavy weight, cutting down on the ease of carrying it around.
The Nokia offering is also listed as having Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor to power its operations. The SoC may be supported in its endeavors by an Adreno 540 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of ROM. The device might run on Android 7.0 Nougat, specifically Android FIH Edition. FIH is notably one of the players behind the brand’s comeback.

As for the Nokia tablet’s photography skills, the device might bear 12MP cameras on the front and back. Both have been equipped with 4K video recording support. However, only the latter comes with autofocus and LED flash. Other notable specs include a slot for a single SIM card, 4G LTE connectivity, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi.
We’ll keep you updated on Nokia’s mysterious slate as and when more information pours in. The company is officially set to make an appearance at the MWC 2017 on February 26.
