It’s no secret that March will be the month in which Apple will introduce its new iPhone SE and the 9.7-inch iPad Pro to the world. However, the exact date on which the event will take place is still to be confirmed, and there are different dates being speculated.
It’s being said now that March 21 is finally when the Cupertino-based giant will be ready with its unveilings. If that’s true, then the iPhone and iPad event will be right before the day on which Apple will be part of a hearing that will tackle the high profile issue involving the FBI’s order for the company to provide backdoor access to an iPhone recovered from one of the San Bernardino shooters.
Re/Code, which is always a reliable source of inside information from the industry, has said that March 21 is indeed the date to look forward to. It has even speculated that the March 15 prediction was either wrong or has been moved forward due to a delay.
No matter when the event takes place, the stars of the show will be the new iPhone SE and the 9.7-inch iPad Pro. The former will grab a 4-inch display like the old school iPhones, but will adopt advanced specs and a design apparently reminiscent of the iPhone 5S.
The latter on the other hand, will be exactly what it sounds like – an iPad with a 9.7-inch display but features similar to those of the 12.9-inch display-equipped iPad Pro. You can hence expect Apple Pencil support as well as a smart keyboard accessory to come alongside it.
Let us now wait until the March 21, when we’ll most probably be hearing from none other than Apple itself about the iPhone SE and the new iPad Pro.
