Samsung vs Apple is a tale as old as time and the South Korean brand is now stoking the flames yet again with a new series of ads out as part of its “Ingenious” ad campaign. All the shorts take place in a mock Apple Store and involve a customer talking to an Apple Genius employee, all in order to highlight how much more superior the Galaxy S9 is in comparison to the iPhone X.

Samsung’s latest ads are called Dongle, Fast Charger, and Camera. The first focuses on the lack of a 3.5mm headphone port in the iPhone X. A person asks a Genius if his wired headphones will work with the handset. The worker says he’ll need to use a dongle to make that possible.

The customer then wonders how he’ll charge the iPhone at the same time. The employee informs him he’ll need another dongle for that, which prompts the customer to call it a double dongle. It’s pretty tongue-in-cheek, as is the next one centered on chargers.

In the second ad, a woman asks the same Apple Genius if the iPhone X is bundled with a fast charger like the Galaxy S9. Naturally, the worker says no, but adds that she can buy a separate Lightning to USB-C cable and a USB-C power adapter to enable fast charging.

This is true, but might not stay true for long since this year’s iPhone X, iPhone X Plus, and 6.1-inch LCD iPhone are all expected to get bundled with 18W fast chargers in the box. The third ad goes after the iPhone X’s camera rating on DxOMark. It scored 97, a bit lower than the Galaxy S9+’ 99. Both are soundly beaten by the Huawei P20 Pro’s 109 score though.

An earlier ad had pointed out how much faster the Galaxy S9 was at download speeds compared to the iPhone X, according to Ookla’s findings. This is again a verified fact, but the 2018 iPhones are going to address this disparity by packing better antenna technology and faster Intel XMM 7560/Qualcomm X20 modem chips.
