The iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C have been picked up by Straight Talk and Net10 Wireless, both of which will start selling the gadgets later this week on a no-contract basis. Interested customers will be able to purchase the devices for unsubsidized rates through these carriers exclusively at Walmart from December 13 onwards.
As we said, prospective users are not required to sign a contract, but they will have to select a monthly plan from amongst the ones we have mentioned below. Straight Talk loyalists can opt for a $45 30-day plan that offers unlimited talk, text and data or the $65 scheme which lets them make unlimited international calls to more than 1000 destinations in addition to nationwide talk, text and data.
As for Net10 Wireless customers, they too can make the most of the $65 monthly plan mentioned above or go for the friends and family plans. The latter starts at $50 and customers have to pay $40 for every additional connection. It brings unlimited data, talk and text for each of the lines without sharing.
The 16GB iPhone 5S will be up for grabs in shades of space gray, silver as well as gold at stores as well as the official site for $649. As for the 16GB iPhone 5C, it can only be picked up through the online store in shades of blue, green, yellow, pink and white for $549. Potential buyers can even opt for the 8GB iPhone 4S that comes drenched in black or white and costs $449.
