Low-end Vivo Y51 handset unveiled in China

A new smartphone has just been launched by Vivo in China in the form of the Y51. It ships with pretty ordinary features, and hence isn’t expected to cost a bomb. That said, the company has shied away from revealing it actual price and release date information for now.

This dual SIM phone happens to run Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with the company’s FunTouch OS on top. It’s a 4G LTE smartphone bearing support for both the LTE bands that are accessible India. This increases the possibility of the Vivo Y51 landing the said country in the months to come.

For displaying its visuals, the Y51 relies upon a 5-inch IPS panel bearing a qHD resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. A 64-bit quad core processor that has been clocked at 1.2GHz powers it from within. Although the chipset hasn’t been mentioned, we’re guessing it’s the Snapdragon 410 model.
