LinkedIn For iPhone

Its not just social networking sites but professional networking sites that seem to be gaining a huge following these days. This new version claims to offer a hugely revamped user experience with enhanced inbox and address book incorporation, In Person, a redesigned search interface and updates.

The LinkedIn inbox has been redesigned and includes dashboard badging and allows users to send invitations from a profile without the e-mail address. Owners can take advantage of their device’s Bluetooth functionality to find and connect with other people running LinkedIn in real-time. Users may type a name or key word into the search interface and view details on a LinkedIN member’s profile. The information encompasses a summary of details about the person being looked up, a review of their education and career, a list of shared contacts and allows users to mark a person as a favorite.

Professional updates offer users four options to help quick navigation through updates. These are called All Updates, Status Updates, Profile Updates and Discussions. Users may also choose to view connections marked as favorites only by filtering updates. Moreover, the developers have also added ability to read and submit comments on updates directly from the iPhone.

LinkedIn for iPhone v3.0 is already available for download from the iTunes App Store.
