The LG Optimus L5 India launch is all geared up to take place in a couple of weeks, updating the company’s portfolio of L series smartphones in the country. The handset will take its place alongside the Optimus L3 and Optimus L7 as well as the recently unveiled quad core Optimus 4X HD.
Featuring the L-Style design philosophy, the phone in question is crafted keeping 5 aspects in mind including a square form factor for a good grip and a slim profile. In terms of dimensions, the LG Optimus L5 measures 118.3mm x 66.5mm x 9.5mm. A Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 processor clocked at 800MHz is employed to do the heavy lifting, while 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage cater to memory needs.

The total storage capacity can be further expanded up to 32GB through the microSD card slot. A 4-inch TFT capacitive display sits pretty on the front, while the Android ICS platform aims to deliver a rich experience along with the Optimus UI 3.0. On the connectivity front, the handset packs in Wi-Fi b/g/n, A-GPS, Bluetooth 3.0 and HSDPA 72 network support. Last on the specs list is the 1500mAh battery for powering up the aforementioned components.
The LG Optimus L5 price in India sums up to Rs. 13,199, while the release date is expected to fall sometime during the next 10 to 15 days.
