LG has finally unleashed the Optimus G in India, giving the currently limited lineup of quad core smartphones a new competitor to be worried about, though it doesn’t come cheap as the phone carries a Rs. 34,500 price tag. On a side note, Samsung has been slashing the retail amount off its current flagship and given the former’s late entry into the country, its ‘genius phone’ might not be the first preference for buyers.
Well, the LG Optimus G does have a compelling set of specifications that should grab customers’ attention. And in addition to this, it also offers features that are quite similar to the S3. For instance, Samsung has multi-view which divides the screen in 2 parts for accessing different applications at the same time, while the newly launched device has the Qslide function that overlays 2 apps as well as allows users to adjust the transparency, size and more for a full screen experience.
The handset operates on the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean platform and it’s sure to get updated to 4.2. It comes with the Optimus 3.0 UI that tags along a host of goodies such as QuickTranslator, QuickMemo, Dual Screen Dual Play, SmartShutter, SmartStay and more.
