While LG has already got a new generation F Series, Boost Mobile has decided to offer one of last year’s models, the Optimus F3, as an affordable 4G LTE option on its network. The handset will cost just $129.99 and it’s already available for purchase across the US.
The LG Optimus F3 is said to be the lowest-priced LTE smartphone on Boost Mobile. Now while the price does make the device an alluring pick, its hardware and features are rather outdated. The phone was announced last year with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and various exclusive applications from LG such as QSlide 2.0 for multitasking, Quick Memo for creating doodles over screenshots, LG Tag+, SmartShare and more. Services such as Boost Zone, Mobile ID and Boost Mobile Wallet are also onboard.
Apart from offering 4G LTE at an affordable price, other key highlights of the LG Optimus F3 are its large 2460mAh Li-ion battery which offers up to 16 hours of talktime, 5MP 1080p rear camera and Home Button LED which provides alerts of certain events by flashing lights in specific color patterns. The smartphone has a 4-inch WVGA display backed by Corning Gorilla Glass 2 and it’s powered by a dual core 1.2GHz processor.
You can purchase the LG Optimus F3 through the Boost Mobile website or via retail stores across the US. The handset comes with the $55 Monthly Unlimited plan with Shrinking Payments.
