LG L80 makes its debut in Indonesia with 5″ display, Android KitKat

So LG is apparently not done as yet with its L Series III and the latest model in the range is the L80 that has gone official in Indonesia. As the name suggests, the newest model will fall somewhere between the L70 and L90 where price and features are concerned.

Like the other models in the series, the LG L80 is also powered by Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box. This also means that we’ll be seeing exclusive content such as Knock Code, KnockOn, QSlider, Quick Memo and many more. Design-wise, the smartphone fits in pretty well with its siblings. The phone is the largest in the series carrying a 5-inch IPS display. Sadly though, the resolution is just WVGA 800 x 480.

The above image (courtesy of Chip Online ID) is of the dual SIM model seeing as there’s no physical home button. GSM Arena suggests that there will be a single SIM model as well. The specs here are also pretty low-end and are quite similar to that of the L70. Stuffed away on the inside is a 1.2GHz dual core processor and 1GB of RAM. Storage needs are in the hands on 4GB flash memory and a microSD card slot. On the upside, the smartphone carries a 2540mAh battery that should offer some pretty good activity time. Dual cameras are onboard as well, VGA front and 5MP rear.

The LG L80 is expected to go on sale in Indonesia in black and white shades for a price of IDR 2.5 million which amounts to approximately $215 in the US.
