The LG G5 made a big splash at the MWC 2016 a few days ago with its modular design and cohort of LG Friends. The manufacturer has now confirmed that the flagship handset will be making its way to India in the next quarter.
Unfortunately, that’s all the information the brand is willing to part with. It hasn’t announced the price details of the LG G5 or its accessories yet. The sheer range of the latter is what captured the attention of folks at the MWC. Some of the standout new devices include the LG Rolling Bot, a robotic ball equipped with a camera, and the LG 360 VR headset.
There’s no word on which of the LG Friends are set to hit India. The customizable design allows for a number of mix-and-match possibilities. For instance, the LG Cam Plus would make an ideal companion for the phone’s 16MP/8MP dual-camera setup. The gadget acts as a grip for the user while clicking a photo, simulating the experience of using a digital camera.
Not only that, the LG device also increases the battery capacity of the G5 by 1200mAh and has buttons for zoom, record, shutter, LED indicator and power. It can be attached to the phone by detaching the handset’s bottom half via a key found on the side of the device. This function also allows the user to easily remove the smartphone’s battery unit and swap it out for another one.
