LG has finally gone on to announce a global rollout of its new G4 flagship smartphone which is currently available only in Korea. Pricing details will of course be revealed when the handset enters particular nations, and it’ll be interesting to see how the company goes about with tackling the competition from biggies like Samsung, HTC and more.
The LG G4 was first showcased back in April this year, and is highlighted by its optional leather back panel, among many other advanced attributes. Its rollout in key markets will begin this week, and will continue through June. Hong Kong will be the first nation to get the device, while Turkey, Russia and Singapore will follow next.
LG has announced that the handset will then continue making its way into countries in Europe, North America, CIS, Southeast Asia, Middle East/Africa and South/Central America. Around 180 carriers and retailers have already been roped in as partners.
The new G4 comes with a 5.5-inch QHD display that’s said to be better than the QHD panel we saw on last year’s G3. This device has been blessed with a 16MP rear camera with optical image stabilization and an f/1.8 aperture. It runs on a 64-bit 1.8GHz hexa core Snapdragon 808 processor.
