The LG G3 will benefit from a unique QuickCircle case which you can see in the image below. While that is official news coming straight from the horse’s mouth, we have one more large chunk of information which verifies the specifications of this upcoming smartphone.
We called it pseudo-official in the headline because this event from LG at which the information was revealed was supposed to be a closed-door gala meant only for retailers. But images from it have somehow managed to reach Phone Arena and we have found yet another reason to talk about the most talked about smartphone right now.
But first, the case. The QuickCircle cover sort of creates a wheel on its circular cutout, letting you access important functions without fully waking up the device. It will be available in five colors and will even come with an SDK for developers to come up with new ideas for it. It’s got a Smart Lighting feature which emits a soft, white, circular glow when it’s opened/closed or a call/text message is received. You can watch the video in the space below to know how it works.
Coming to the specifications of the LG G3 now, they are exactly what we’ve been reporting based on leaks in the past. The smartphone bears a 5.5-inch, 1440 x 2560 QHD display and a quad core Snapdragon 801 CPU. Other components include 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 13MP camera with OIS+ and a 3000mAh battery. While we had reported about a 3200mAh battery in the past, the difference could due to models meant for separate markets.
The LG G3 will be launched on May 27 where we’re hoping to learn about its price and availability details.
