It seems like LG will be bringing the G3 Beat smartphone which is the compact version of its current flagship, to India earlier than expected. The handset is currently available for pre-order online at it carries a Rs 24999 price tag with release scheduled for September 13.
The LG G3 Beat which is also known as the G3 S in certain locations flaunts the same design as the flagship smartphone and it even borrows some of its iconic features. The handset has its volume and unlock keys moved to the rear accompanied by an 8MP camera which sports the laser AF system.
On the front, there’s a 5-inch LCD panel fenced by slim bezels. According to the OEM, the phone has a screen-to-body ratio of 74.1% which is pretty high for a mid-range device. However, there seems to be some confusion with the screen resolution. Infibeam has listed the panel with an 800 x 480 pixel resolution and 217ppi density.
Both values are incorrect as they don’t compute considering that a 217ppi would be of qHD resolution, and also because the phone will come with a 720p HD panel as no other model has been revealed. Apart from this, there’s Android 4.4 KitKat with the company’s own UX features such as Knock Code, QSlider, Quick Memo and more.
