LG India has put up a teaser on its official Facebook page confirming the arrival of the LG G2 in the country. Although the South Korean company went ahead and revealed that the device is landing in the subcontinent very soon, it hasn’t pinpointed a date on which prospective customers will be able to lay their hands on it. Nevertheless, Saholic has revealed that the smartphone can be expected to start shipping from September 30 onwards.
The LG device measuring 138.5 x 70.9 x 8.9 millimeters is adorned with a 5.2-inch multi-touch capacitive IPS LCD display of 1920 x 1080p resolution. A Corning Gorilla Glass 3 film has also been reinforced on top to keep scrapes and scratches at bay. The phone’s rear panel plays host to not only a 13MP camera with LED flash, HDR and HD video recording, but also physical buttons. Its front side has a 2.1MP snapper for facilitating video conferences over the internet on the move. An accelerometer, a gyroscope, a digital compass and a proximity sensor have also been thrown into the mix.
Furthermore, the driving force behind the said gadget is a quad core 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and Adreno 330 GPU. It boasts of 2GB of system memory as well as 32GB onboard memory and even brings common communication features like NFC, 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The Android Jelly Bean 4.2 smartphone draws power from a 3000mAh lithium-polymer battery which should keep it charged up for an entire day.
