LG G Vista VS880 rumored to go on sale via Verizon this Friday

While a lot of information has been leaked about the LG G Vista VS880 phablet, its release date has been a mystery so far. Well, thanks to a leakster, we now have a possible launch date which is July 18, this Friday, albeit the price is still a mystery.

The LG G Vista VS880 has been making headlines ever since @evleaks revealed its existence. We’ve seen the device in press images and even sized up against the G3 flagship. And recently, specs of the device were revealed by the same leakster who’s also the source of the launch information.

Where looks are concerned, the upcoming device is almost identical to the current flagship. Apart from the placement of a few components, the only difference is in the screen size. If you look carefully at the above image, the phone on the right has a slightly broader panel.

This display is said to be 5.7 inches wide and it won’t offer 1080p resolution, but 720p HD visuals. Performance-wise, the phone has nothing to brag about, but it does come with a large 3200mAh battery. And for its size, it’s pretty lightweight at 168 grams.

Here’s a roundup of the LG G Vista VS880 specs:

– OS: Android 4.4 KitKat
– Display: 5.7-inch HD IPS LCD
– Processor: 1.2GHz quad core Snapdragon 400
– Camera: 8MP rear, 1.3MP front
– Memory: 8GB storage, 1.5GB RAM
– Battery: 3200mAh

Seeing as the LG G Vista VS880 is a mid-range device, it’s most likely to carry an affordable subsidized price on Verizon, probably between $99 and $149. However, it does come with the same flagship design, so its full retail amount could sting.
