We’re just a few weeks away from MWC 2014 and LG is up to its old tricks again – Being a big tease. The company has confirmed that it will launch the G Pro 2 smartphone at the expo later this month and it has also started to tease a few features that the handset will come with.
The latest tidbits come from the company’s Social Blog where the main camera features have been detailed. So let’s begin – The primary snapper on the LG G Pro 2 will be a 13MP one like its predecessor and the G2 flagship. The lens, however, will have various advanced features that are not offered on the previous models. For starters, the company will implement OIS Plus technology to better compensate for hand trembling.
To make this possible, the company is throwing in its EIS (Electro Image System) which helps in shake correction. Another interesting feature of the LG G Pro 2 is its capability to capture UHD videos which is better known as 4K (3840 x 2160p) resolution. This feature is already available in a few smartphones including the Galaxy Note 3 and the Acer Liquid S2, with many more to offer it in the near future.
The Korean company will also throw in slow motion video where footage will be captured at 1.4x speed. Then there’s continuous shooting of up to 20 photos. Also, you can expect to see a refreshed camera UX in the LG G Pro 2. The front-facing snapper will be a 2.1MP lens with improved performance.
We expect the teasing to continue until the LG G Pro 2 goes official. So be sure to check back soon for more details on the highly anticipated phablet.
