The LG G Pad 8.3 is the latest among the league of Google Play Edition devices to enter the Android 5.1 club. This release comes at a time when owners of the Nexus 9, Nexus 4 and the Nexus 7 (2013 edition) are still waiting for the software update to hit their devices.
Anyway, the Google Play Edition of the LG G Pad 8.3 is getting its Android 5.1 upgrade in the form of an OTA download. Sized at a little more than 200MB, this software update will grant the device bug fixes and a few more small features meant to enhance the user experience on Lollipop.
As its name indicates, the G Pad 8.3 kicks in an 8.3-inch display bearing a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels.
