LG G Flex shows up in benchmark listing

Samsung has showed us what its curved smartphone looks like and what new capabilities it brings to the fore and we’ve still waiting on LG to play its move with a similar kind of product. Dubbed the G Flex, the smartphone has popped up a number of times in the past and we’ve recently seen it for the first time in the wild.

While the previous leak delivered visual proof of its existence, a new report has surfaced providing a little more credence to the specifications and features rumored earlier. The new information comes via AnTuTu, the makers of the popular Android benchmark app. The website notes that the device was recently spotted in its system and has mentioned in brief what the phone is capable of along with hardware details.

LG G Flex

The G Flex is said to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 MSM8974 processor which we’re assuming runs at 2.2GHz with Adreno 330 graphics. The screen will be 6 inches wide, albeit the resolution will be 720p only. Owing to this, the pixel density will be rather low at 244ppi, but the phone should benefit from better GPU processing thanks to the low resolution. Apart from these, there will be 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a 13MP camera.

Unlike Samsung’s Round handset which is apparently a test prototype, LG’s G Flex could reach commercial availability as a carrier specific version, LG-LS995, for Sprint has turned up. Also, both devices differ design-wise. The former has an inward bend from the sides, while the latter has the top and bottom lean inward.

AnTuTu Listing

The LG G Flex will go official next month. No price has been mentioned as yet, but considering that the company is implementing its latest technologies, we’re expecting it to be quite pricy.
