Photographers who desire to focus solely on a certain object in any image, can avail of the recently unveiled Lensbaby Edge 80 Optic. Noted to be the latest inclusion in the company’s Optic Swap System range, this product comes integrated with a 12 blade adjustable aperture.
The Edge 80 is primarily companionable with Lensbaby devices like Composer, Composer Pro, Control Freak, Muse, and Scout. It is expected to convert these bending lens bodies into a tilt lens which will help attain the aforementioned sharp focus. To control the size of the focus slice, the 12 blade aperture settings can be amended.
“The Edge 80 Optic allows photographers to create images with quality that is on-par with some of the best lenses I’ve ever used. Like a great lens mounted on a view camera bellows, you can make spectacular ‘straight’ photos with the Edge 80 pointed straight ahead and then, when you want a different look altogether, fluidly tilt the lens to create a razor sharp slice of selective focus through your image,” commented Craig Strong, Lensbaby President and Co-Founder.
When used straight, the Edge 80 captures completely sharp pictures like usually estimated. When users tilt this one, it is capable of creating horizontal, vertical and diagonal focus slices. Both, the background as well as the foreground can be focused within the same slice. This peripheral offers a focal length of 80mm and is composed of five multicoated glass elements.
The Lensbaby Edge 80 Optic price is revealed to be $300. It can be picked from the official company website or authorized Lensbaby stores all around the world.
