The much anticipated launch of the Lenovo Vibe X3 has taken place today, finally putting a stop to the large number of leaks which have been plaguing it since the past few months. The handset has arrived in the form of three different models, with two of them bearing high-end specs and the third one called the Youth version being a low-end affair.
All the phones from the new Lenovo Vibe X3 range feature 5.5-inch 1080p full HD displays and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. They are Dolby Atmos certified, and ship with pretty high-end audio hardware. All of them feature fingerprint scanners as well, which are placed on their rear surfaces.
Talking about the two high-end Vibe X3 versions of the Vibe X3 smartphone, they are differentiated by their 32GB and 64GB storage modules. All their other offerings are the same.
These include a hexa core Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB worth of RAM, microSD support and a fast charging compatible 3600mAh battery. A 23MP rear camera with 4K video support sits on their rear surfaces, whereas an 8MP snapper has been granted to their fronts.
The Youth model of this Lenovo phone is a much lower-end affair than these two devices. It ships with a 1.3GHz octa core MediaTek CPU and 2GB worth of RAM. There’s just 16GB of storage space onboard the device, aside from a microSD card slot. Its camera setup includes a 16MP rear snapper and a 5MP selfie unit, whereas its battery bears a capacity of 3400mAh.
The 64GB variant of the new Lenovo Vibe X3 will cost CNY 2999 ($470 or Rs 31000) in China, whereas the 32GB variant will go for CNY 2499 ($390 or Rs 25900). As for the Youth model, it has been priced by its makers at CNY 1899 ($300 or Rs 19700). These phones are still to be announced for other markets.
