Lenovo to launch new Vibe device on March 23, it may not be a flagship phone

Lenovo showcased some pretty amazing devices at the MWC 2015, but no new flagship smartphone despite us seeing multiple rumors of its existence. Well, the company is certainly saving its best for last as it plans to launch a new Vibe device on March 23.

GizmoChina is reporting that Lenovo Mobile has put up a teaser image on microblogging website Weibo in China which has the aforementioned date and the ‘Vibe’ moniker in the background. There’s no word on whether we’ll be seeing a new flagship device, but we also don’t see the point in holding a press event for something that’s not of key importance.

Lenovo Teaser

As you probably know, the mighty Vibe Z2 Pro made its debut in August of 2014 and Lenovo is most likely to continue with a yearly release schedule. This lessens the chances of seeing a new flagship later this month. Well, we do have a small idea at what the company could showcase at the upcoming event. Back in February, a mega leak disclosed several new Lenovo devices, but only a few of them have been launched so far.

There’s a good chance that we might see not one, but a full series of new handsets go official under the Vibe X3, Vibe S1, Vibe P1, Vibe P1 Pro and Vibe Max monikers. These devices offer everything from super stylish and premium designs to large screens to high resolution visuals to large batteries and other great features. Not much is known about them, but you can find all the tidbits and images through this link.

If Lenovo does intend on launching a new flagship smartphone, it’ll probably be sometime during H2 2015 and we expect it to carry the Vibe Z3 Pro moniker.
