The Lenovo A850, A516, A369i and A269i A series smartphones have stepped into India and prospective customers who have been waiting to lay their hands on a budget-friendly handset are likely to find a contender that fits the bill in this range. The first two devices fall in the mid-range category, while the latter two are entry-level phones attached with sub-7K price tags.
These devices have arrived in India in time for the festive season and like most of the other similar phones, offer dual SIM support. The A269i is the cheapest amongst them and is graced by a multi-touch screen measuring 3.5 inches diagonally. A dual core processor that can clock in a maximum speed of 1GHz has been assigned the responsibility of ensuring smooth multitasking.
Coming up next is the A369i which is slightly bigger than the A269i as the former is fitted with a 4-inch display. The device sports a 5MP rear camera as well and its 1.3GHz dual core processor seeks assistance from 512MB of RAM to support multiple applications at the same time. You get merely 4GB of internal memory which can be bumped up by using a microSD card of not more than 32GB capacity.
Both the 4.5-inch A516 and the 5.5-inch A850 employ IPS touchscreens and operate with the assistance of the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 OS. They are powered by a 1.3GHz processor, but the former’s chip has 2 cores, whereas the latter’s CPU brings 4 of them. A 5MP camera is what users will get to click images and record videos and 4GB of expandable memory to save the digital content.
The Lenovo A269i will retail for Rs 5,500 and the A369i has been priced at Rs 7,000. The A516 and A850 cost Rs 11,000 and Rs 16,000, respectively. They will be made available in India in October this year.
