The low-cost Windows tablet market is about to receive a new entry it seems, as evidence about the existence of a Lenovo Miix 3 tablet has been spotted in the wild. This possibly 8-inch slate hasn’t been official spoken about by its maker yet, but a reference to it has been made by Indonesian regulatory agency, Postel.
A tablet with the model name Lenovo Miix 3-830 has been mentioned in one of its documents, as pointed out by Liliputing. Since the Mixx series from the company is dedicated towards providing Windows slates, it can easily be assumed that this device too will carry the Microsoft platform onboard.
Furthermore, the ‘830’ in its model name in a way points towards the fact that it will come equipped with an 8-inch display. Other details like those regarding its resolution, processor, RAM and more still remain under the cloak.
If its predecessor, the Lenovo Miix 2 is to be looked it, it’s a low-priced Windows tablet which too grabs an 8-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. While an 8MP camera sits on its rear surface, a 2MP secondary snapper can be found on its front.

This slab from Lenovo runs on an Intel Atom Z3740 processor that’s clocked at 1.33GHz and is backed by 2GB of RAM. Apart from 7-hour battery life, it also presents its buyers with connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0.
Its successor, the Lenovo Miix 3 is bound to feature updated specifications, but the question that remains is whether this new tablet too will be priced low or will it just go for high-end specs and a steep price tag.
