Although it’s only been a few weeks since the launch of the K4 Note in India, Lenovo has gone ahead and announced the K5 Note. The new device is set to be vended via a flash sale in China taking place this week.

The Lenovo K5 Note is priced at 1099 Yuan (roughly $167 or Rs 11300). It looks quite different from its predecessor, sporting an all-metal build and speakers on its back. The phone’s specifications have changed as well, notably in the CPU department with the newly released octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor which is supported by a Mali-T860 GPU.

The dual-SIM K5 Note has been blessed with a fingerprint scanner on its rear surface. Other than unlocking the handset, it can also be used for clicking photos and making payments. The phone gets its engines running via a 3500mAh battery equipped with fast charging technology. The powerhouse can apparently last for 543.3 hours of standby time and 34.2 hours of 2G talk time.

A 13MP camera rests on its back panel and comes with features like dual-tone LED flash and PDAF.
