The Lenovo IdeaPad Y470p is now up for pre-order on the company’s website. This successor to the IdeaPad Y470 houses an AMD Radeon HD 7690 1GB graphics card to provide an enhanced gaming experience for ardent players out there.
Underneath the hood, a second generation Intel Core i7-2670QM processor clocked at 2.2GHz is found powering up the system. Running the Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS, the laptop is complete with 8GB of RAM as well as a 750GB HDD and comes incorporated with a 14-inch HD Glare display and an onboard 2MP webcam. It can also be configured to fit in an HDD of up to 1TB, a Blu-ray disc drive and more.
Reported by The Verge and spotted by Laptop Reviews, this Y470p notebook is Bluetooth enabled and also sports an HDMI out to seamlessly splash content onto larger screens. The system weighs 4.85lbs after taking into account the integrated 6-cell battery. The last mentioned should breathe life into the device for up to 4 hours on a single charge. With these standard specs and the AMD Radeon graphics card, the laptop has been attached with a reasonable price tag.
Furthermore, there is something in here for audiophiles too, since the notebook arrives with SRS premium surround sound and JBL speakers to blare out their preferred music. Users can also choose to customize the device by including the RapidDrive SSD technology which apparently boots the system in about 9.5 seconds and quickly opens up applications for swift and easy utility.
