Clearly showing no sign of letting up, the Lenovo IdeaPad Y, Z and G series laptops are among the latest portable PC offerings to arrive from the company’s stable. The aforementioned array is inclusive of the Y480, Y580, Z580, Z480, Z380, G480, G580 and G70 devices.
Donning 14-inch and 15-inch full HD displays, respectively, the Y480 and Y580 wrap in Intel Core processors along with options to integrate an Nvidia GeForce GTX660M 2GB GDDR5 graphics card. Attributes such as the JBL speakers, Dolby Home Theatre V4 audio and OneKey Theater II to control the sound and video experience may have entertainment buffs glancing at the specs a second time. The Y580 features a backlit keyboard, HD camera and optional TV tuner as well as Intel Wireless Display technology which allows users to splash content onto larger screens.
IdeaPad Z580, Z480, Z380 in the Z series bring in a dash of style along with specs such Nvidia GeForce GT640M 2GB graphics with DirectX and OneKey Theater II. Each laptop dons a 13.3-inch, 14-inch or 15.6-inch backlit LED HD display, respectively, proffering resolutions of 1366 x 768p. Just like the Y series, this range possesses Intel Wireless Display technology for an enhanced viewing experience. Other features include HDMI output, HD graphics support, an incorporated DVD reader or a Blu-ray Disc drive.
Peony pink, amber orange, apple green, graphite grey, cherry red and coral blue are the shades coating the Z cohort of laptops which are to be churned out by the company. Next up is the G series that comprises of the G480, G580 and G780 with 14-inch, 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch HD screens, correspondingly. Veriface facial recognition, OneKey Rescue System and other standard features are present in the systems for potential users out there.
Lenovo IdeaPad Y, Z and G series laptops will attach price tags of $899, $599 and $399, respectively. The IdeaPad Y and Z range should become available in the beginning of April this year, while the G series laptops will be made available in June.
