The price for the Lenovo IdeaPad U310 Touch has been revealed along with that for the U410, Z400 and Z500. The Windows 8 optimized laptops were showcased at the 2013 CES and join the company’s other devices which include the Yoga 11S, the ThinkPad Helix and a few ThinkPad Edge devices.
The updated U310 features a 13.3-inch, 1366 x 768p display with 10-point touch support and can be specified with a chip all the way up to a 3rd generation Intel Core i7 processor. Of course, Windows 8 pops its head into the picture, and HDD options go as far as 500GB while a 24GB SSD can be opted for as well. With up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM and a claimed battery life of about 6.5 hours the laptop should make a nice portable solution, since it weighs as low as 3.7 pounds.
The new U410, as the name might give away, comes with a 14-inch, 1366 x 768p display also with 10-point touch. It has pretty much the same specs as its smaller sibling and can be specified with the same processor, although RAM is bumped up to as much as 8GB while internal storage goes up to 1TB of HDD space. The company claims an even larger figure of 8.5 hours in terms of battery life.
The new Z400 offers a 14-inch 10-point multi-touch display and Dolby Home Theater v4 for enhanced movie-watching experience. A Blu-ray disc reader and writer is available as option, but featured as standard is the company’s intelligent touchpad. There’s also an integrated 720p webcam, up to 1TB of HDD storage and up to 8GB of RAM.
The updated Z500 has a 15.6-inch display and also features 10-point touch. Up to 6 hours can be squeezed out of the battery, the company says, and Windows 8 is the preferred OS. A 3rd generation Intel Core i7 processor can be added as can a 1TB HDD and 8GB of RAM for extremely quick performance.
The Lenovo IdeaPad U310 Touch and the updated Z400 laptop will be made available starting in March this year for $779 and $699 respectively. On the other hand, the IdeaPad U410 Touch and the new Z500 are scheduled to see the light of day sometime in April starting at $850 and $699 respectively.
